Long Jetty Community Health Centre

The Central Coast Area Health Service commissioned DWPS to design and construct a community health centre to serve the growing community at Long Jetty and replace a demountable centre nearby. The building was required to provide clinical services to the public as well as housing staff performing public services such as the community nursing service.

Two group rooms were provided for public education seminars, group meeting facilities and flexible space for training. Office spaces are designed to house specialist staff and conduct interviews or consultations. Consulting rooms and clinics are equipped for general medicine and inoculation procedures.

The building is designed with the two wings containing offices and consultation rooms and a central core incorporating the foyer and staff areas. A central courtyard provides extra light to the centre of the building. The development of a large car parking area at the front of the site including landscaping completed the project
